Flap disc use diagonal layers of aluminum oxide resin fiber, as it wears new grit is continuously being exposed for consistent performance throughout the life of the disc. Flap disc's are designed to run cooler to reduce warping of thin metal like body panels plus, unlike ordinary grinding wheels these discs won't gouge your work
Flap Disc
1. Individual Aluminum Oxide sanding strips on a Y weight polyester cloth backing are bonded to a fiberglass backing plate in a circular pattern
2. Applications include grinding and polishing of metals, blending of welds and metal finishing. Can be used as an excellent general purpose grinding disc on a right angle Die grinder
3. Extra flaps in high density discs give more cutting service for a faster cut reducing sanding times
4. Flaps are overlapped and a new layer of the sanding strip is exposed as each previous layer wears away, resulting in a consistent cut rate through the life of the flap disc
5. Due to the overlap of the abrasive strips this product provides a cooler and more efficient grinding process than conventional fiber discs
